Make an extra room

My client wanted to upgrade her court-yard that is currently not used and left to her dogs.

This is a narrow and long area that I divided in different spaces, following the requests of my client. She wanted to have an area where she could sit and eat, enjoy some time with her friends. She also wanted to integrate an in-built concrete BBQ from Set In Steel with a high bench/bar. On the rear of the courtyard she wanted a cosy space since this area is on the alignment of her bedrooms French door windows, a little cosy space for her and her husband just to enjoy surrounded by some greenery.

Because of the height of the boundary fence, I decided to hide it by some slats and also add a raised garden to visually break the height. The raised garden bed goes along the fence and was also to keep the dogs away from the plants, it will also provide a more structural garden, organised and tidy-up feeling since the plants choose are going to stay along the boundary fence and do not encroach on the living space.

To increase to cosy, cocooning space near the bedroom we also have a different paver on this area accentuating this effect and feeling.
